Understanding Cultural Identity Crisis Live Event, Sydney

$59.00 AUD

Enhance your Cultural Awareness & Intelligence Skills and Achieve Better Outcomes with Aboriginal People!

This special one-time event is a 3 hour presentation centred around the following three questions:

1) What is Culture and the phenomena of Connection to Country?
Aboriginal Culture is as wide and vast as the Sea which hold and sustain us. How can Aboriginal Culture be viewed and understood in modern society?Beginning with many unique and different language groups who have endured generations of dispossession, today we have a complex cultural dynamic to understand and work with if we truly wish to impact change.

2) What are the Implications of Culture on Identity, Wellbeing & Function?
Culture is a central feature of Aboriginal Identity which encompass many holistic ideals about one's personal life, how they relate to others, and their place in the broader system of life.  It provides movement, influencing attitude and behaviour making Culture a key mechanism of change - either toward wellbeing and prosperity, or self-destruction.

3) How can Cultural Wellbeing be Supported in Work Practices?
In challenging yet rewarding work, it can be easy for practitioners to feel overwhelmed, challenged or stuck when working with Aboriginal people.  Can non-Aboriginal service providers support cultural wellbeing? This event presents an approach to working with Aboriginal people through stages of change, in a way which promote a strong sense of connection to culture while honouring Aboriginal Identity.

VENUE:  Event will be hosted in Darwin, Melbourne & Sydney.  The exact venues are to be confirmed, which you will receive location details no later than two weeks before the event.
